Disaster Resilience Leadership Fellowship

Funded by the The George Washington University (GWU) under a larger grant by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF)

I led the design and managed delivery of a 3-month fellowship on leadership in disaster resilience, with a focus on urban risk and resilience. The programme was conducted in partnership with the Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS), Mumbai.

  • Developed leadership capacity and technical knowledge of a cohort of 34 fellows
  • Mentoring support for developing the fellows’ disaster resilience action plans

Through the programme, we were able to foster a cohort of private, civil society and public sector leaders in building disaster resilience, on a common platform. The programme also led to deepening our engagement with academic institutions that work in the development sector.
