I led several programmes between 3 days and 3 months long, on research methods, data analysis and visualization for diverse audiences. Course content focused on cases that were relevant to the particular audience in each programme. Usually, the programmes were designed as a combination of sets of contact sessions interspersed with a mentoring and hand-holding phase in between.
- More than 125 participants trained over 8 programmes
- Database of case studies and practice datasets
- Development of synchronous and asynchronous content
Enhanced capacity of various individuals and their organizations to generate, analyze and visualize data for evidence-based decision-making, including spatial data generation, analysis and representation. Enabled uptake of technical skills for data generation, analysis and representation among the the participants. The programmes demonstrated the potential of digital and blended methodologies for capacity building, with a suitable pedagogical approach. Institutionally, we were able to converge various capabilities and skills across internal faculty teams to develop a scalable product, developing internal capacity for teaching and training.
